Amherst Cider Festival Planned for Lindabury Orchard
AMHERST – The 2019 Amherst Cider Festival will be held on Saturday, September 28 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. The event takes place in the apple orchard on Christian Hill Road, between Eaton and Green Roads. Tickets (cash or checks) are $10 /adults and $6/children.
Enjoy the beautiful, quintessential setting, press your own cider, enjoy entertainment by a storyteller and music by Robert Allwarden from 1 – 3 p.m. There will be hay rides, kids activities and a bake sale. Get there early to take it all in! Join your neighbors and make it a family day.
In 2002, the Amherst Conservation Commission and the Amherst Land Trust teamed up to preserve the Lindabury Orchard in Amherst. This beautiful property is protected from development in perpetuity for the citizens of Amherst and surrounding communities. Friends of the Orchard (FOTO), a local citizens group, restored the orchard and continues to maintain and improve it. All proceeds from the Cider Festival go towards maintaining and improving the site. All additional donations are greatly appreciated! For questions, please email email@example.com.
