Broadway/Television Star Entertains at Peacock Players

NASHUA – Peacock Players, NH’s premiere award-winning youth theatre, and Nashua’s  renowned local non-profit youth arts organization; will celebrate their 41st season with the annual dinner and silent auction Friday, October 7th at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Nashua. This year’s Annual Dinner & Auction is titled The Wizarding Feast - an evening for all wizards, witches, and muggles to celebrate Peacock Players. Come dressed up in costume, or come dressed as yourself. Either way - guests will attend a truly magical event that allows every fan to become a hero for theatre arts education.

The evening will begin at 6pm with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner and live musical entertainment from Broadway and television star, Alexandra Socha.

A much-celebrated Peacock Players Alumna, Ms. Socha replaced Lea Michele as Wendla in Spring Awakening on Broadway, which she played until the show’s closing. She subsequently appeared on Broadway in Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs. Currently, Alexandra is one of the stars of the Amazon Original Series Red Oaks alongside such actors as Paul Reiser and Jennifer Grey. Season Two of Red Oaks premieres November 11th.

Alexandra will return home to Nashua and perform with some of her Peacock Players friends for this special event to provide support for this worthwhile youth theatre arts organization.

“Peacock Players was everything to me growing up. It was my favorite place in the world, my home away from home,” says Socha. “I had known from a very young age that I wanted to perform, but it wasn’t until working under the guidance of Peacock Players, that I truly learned how deeply my passion for theatre ran... that is something I have carried with me. I am truly thrilled to be coming home to support an organization that provides so much to so many.”

Peacock Players Annual Dinner & Auction: The Wizarding Feast guests will have the opportunity to bid on several silent auction items including: Broadway.com gift certificates to Broadway productions, professional Boston sports teams tickets, several vacation home and bed and breakfast stays, varied restaurant and vacation destination gift certificates, as well as a spirits pull, Summer Theatre Camp raffle, Harry Potter memorabilia and more. All proceeds from the event will benefit Peacock Players, Inc. – a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization.

Tickets  available online at www.peacockplayers.org, or 603-886-7000.
