Help Dorothy Get Back Home – Why? Because There’s No Place Like Home!
Amherst PTA is proud to announce auditions for its spring show in 2017, none other than the legendary “The Wizard of Oz”. Come one, come all and come out to audition for this wonderfully classic musical! This year marks the 65th year that the Amherst PTA has been performing plays and musicals. Parents and teachers of the Amherst elementary and middle schools came together in order to raise money for extracurricular activities and programs for the students. This is the largest and most successful fundraiser that the PTA does. Last year, those who auditioned came from several towns including, Amherst, Hollis, Hudson, Londonderry, Lyndeborough, Manchester, Milford, Mont Vernon, Nashua, Pelham, Pembroke, Atkinson, Goffstown and Concord.
Under the directing team of Vouli Anthimidou, director, Sharron April, assistant director, Karina Bertrand, musicald, Laura Millar, assistant musical director, and Loren Hallett, co-choreographer, “The Wizard of Oz” will be brought to life and is sure to please audiences of all ages. Audition Information is as follows:
Auditions: December 5 & 6 from 6-9pm, and will be held in the Clark School multi-purpose room in Amherst, NH
Call Backs: December 8th
First Read Through: December 14
Rehearsals will begin in January
Rehearsals days: Sundays, Wednesdays & Thursdays
Show dates: April 20 – 23, 2017
Ages – 3rd grade and up - will consider under 2nd grade
with a parent/s in the show
