April Vacation Discovery Camp
April School Vacation will be here before you know it! This camp will be based around the beautiful art and nature that PMEC has to offer! Each day there will be pond exploration, water play in the brooks, fun with buckets and nets, group games, and of course...arts and crafts! We will create things that fly and explore animals that live within our Earth.

Get ready for year two of Adventure Teen Camp (ATC) for rising 7th-9th graders! Campers will have fun with friends, while enhancing their community service skills, building stronger relationships, and being a part of a rewarding camp experience.
Baboosic Lake Summer Camp

Youth Programs
Swim Lessons at Baboosic Lake
Take advantage of our American Red Cross swim lessons. All instructors are ARC Water Safety certified. Swim lessons are scheduled for a 30 minute time period between 10am- 2:00PM, Monday - Thursday at Baboosic Lake.
Baboosic Lake Swim Team
Our team is a seasonal swim team offering coaching, technique and instruction for all ages and abilities. Swim Team is open to all ability levels ages 4 to 19. . Practice is 9am -10 am Monday through Friday at Baboosic Lake.
Archery For Youth
The 5th-8th grader class will be held after school from 2:30-3:30. The 1st-4th graders will meet from 3:45-4:45.
Where: Bean 4 Outfield
When: Fridays, May 5, 12, 19, and 26 with a rain makeup on June 2rd if needed.
Volleyball for Middle School Girls
This 5th through 8th grade program for girls is designed to develop basic volleyball skills for beginners, while reinforcing fundamentals and introducing positional play for those who demonstrate mastery of the basics.
Tuesdays: 4/4, 4/11, 4/18, 5/5, 5/9 at AMS
Thursdays: 4/6, 4/13, 4/20, 5/4, 5/11 at AMS
Theater: Re-Imagined
10-14 yrs Saturdays at PMEC, 10:30-11:30am
With guidance from Lucy Spencer and Frances Saxton, students will read, discuss and transform a short story or poem from classic literature into a group performance piece, using movement, voice and text. The course will culminate in a showcase presented on the 8th week of the session.
Fairytale Theater, 6-10 yrs
Saturdays at PMEC, 9:15-10:15
We will select a well-known fairytale and discover how to present it in unconventional ways, using a variety of performance techniques and theatrical tools to tell the story.

Yoga for Kids and Yoga for Middle School
New sessions starting in March, after school!
Yoga helps students develop confidence, self-awareness, and calming techniques.

Are you familiar with “Who’s Line Is It Anyway”? This class runs the gamut of acting dos and don’ts and is particularly useful for sharpening timing, strengthening ensemble collaboration and analyzing scene work.

5K Trail Challenge Training Program
After hibernating for the winter, isn’t it time to make a commitment to getting serious about improving your fitness? And what better way to do that than setting a goal today to run the new 5K Joe English Trail Challenge on May 7 right here in Amherst.

Monthly Diner Trips
Let’s eat our way through New England this year with our Monthly Diner Trips! Join the Amherst Recreation crew as we depart for some local Diner outings. We will meet at10:30am at the Walmart in Amherst, NH on the first Tuesday of every month for a different Diner outing around NE!

Amherst Recreation will be taking a day trip to visit the beautiful Bridge of Flowers and Trolley Museum, in Shelburne Falls, MA on Friday, May 19th.
